Vicki, Yes, you may come by. There are two Burmese monks who currently live there, both of whom are very friendly and speak very good English. On weekends there will also probably be some lay people around. All will be glad to show you around. (I am an American monk currently in Austin, TX, but I will come to Chisago City end of June or early July to stay until October, and would also be happy to show you around after I get there.)

      Steven,
Unfortunately there is only one monk staying on the property through the winter. He is staying in the smaller house at the south end of the property, near the woods. That is where the mailbox is. You are welcome to knock on the door and talk with him. His name is Anuruddha. The abbot, Osaddha, is in Myanmar probably until April. I, Cintita, am in Austin, Texas, and will probably also return to Chisago City in April. I am American, so my English is best, but the Burmese monks also speak English.

Hello I assume your organization is practicing the corona-19. I drove by the other day and saw your wonderful building and grounds. I built a house just down the street on Jewel Lane. lived there many years. I was pleasantly surprised. When things calm down my whole family would love to tour your site. I have fond memories of that whole area including fishing on sunrise lake when the fish were huge! We live on North Center now.
